Below is a 10-day itinerary for an Upper Mustang trek by road and trekking. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Explore Thamel, prepare permits, and meet the guide. Day 2: Fly or Drive to Pokhara (822m) (25 min flight / 6-7 hrs drive) If flying, enjoy aerial views of the Himalayas. Spend the day exploring Phewa Lake and local markets. Day 3: Fly to Jomsom (2,720m) & Drive to Kagbeni (2,810m) (20 min flight & 1.5-hour drive) Scenic flight over the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Drive through windy valleys to Kagbeni, the gateway to Upper Mustang. Day 4: Drive to Ghami (3,520m) via Chele & Syangboche Pass through the villages of Chele, Samar, and Syangboche.
